Igual que ha pasado con otras cosas que no vemos o de las que no nos enteramos por el confinamiento, una de ellas la donación de sangre tan necesaria en éstos momentos que ha descendido por el miedo al contagio del Covid19, muchas otras se han detenido hasta nuevo aviso.
Si bien le hemos perdido el miedo a la donar sangre, que desde aquí y como donante habitual animo a seguir colaborando de forma altruista, puesto que como todo, los bancos de sangre han tenido que reinventarse para poder continuar prestando un servicio tan valioso, con aumentos en el número de donantes en muchas provincias, otras iniciativas solidarias se han quedado en punto muerto, un a de ellas los tapones solidarios.
Nueva vida no sólo para el plástico.
A lo largo y ancho del país, cientos de personas recogen cada día durante todo el año, miles de tapones de plástico en farmacias, comercios, empresas o asociaciones en contenedores al uso, bolsas de plástico o dentro de botellas de agua de 8 litros, todo vale con tal de almacenar tan preciado material que es apartado con esmero por tanta gente solidaria en sus hogares, oficinas, talleres, que son el inicio y parte fundamental de esta cadena.
Luego las llevan a las plantas de triturado para que éste maná, vuelva otra vez al ciclo de la vida del plástico, convertido en cientos de cosas de uso cotidiano que ni imaginamos, ayudando al medio ambiente y de camino a muchas personas que en muchísimas ocasiones no pueden llegar a fin de mes y ven en el reciclaje de tapones una vía para financiar terapias para algún familiar, Marido, Madre; hija, que padecen alguna enfermedad o síndrome raro de muy costosa investigación.

Pero como hemos dicho antes, el mido al covid10 ha paralizado muchas cosas a parte la restauración y la hostelería, también «ésta recogida solidaria», que ya no cumple con su doble cometido social y natural, que ha dejado sin financiación extra a muchas familias que dependían de este ingreso, si es que no ha sido victima de un despido o de un ERTE, dejando en peor situación a miles de personas.
Esperemos que con la realización masiva de test y con suerte una vacuna más adelante, todo vuelva a la normalidad y que podamos seguir demostrando nuestra solidaridad sin miedo a aportar nuestro grano de arena a la sociedad en forma de tapón de arena o gota de sangre.
